First
developed in 1970, the non-contact displacement sensor is AEC's major product.
These products are capable of various non-contact measurements including gap,
vibration, and revolution. AEC
offers several thousand types of these sensors; the general types are listed for
your reference including the ultra compact (or Miniature) type.
The
non-contact type sensors can measure displacement and vibrations to 20kHz DC.
Calibration and adjustment of the sensors is made simple with a digital
voltmeter and three potentiometers (gain, zero, and linearity) located on the
front panel of the transducer. In
addition, each transducer can be powered by a universal power supply of 85-264 V
AC, and transducers with unified multiple channels are also available.
